Ladies, it’s time to take control of your safety!

Join us for a powerful, hands-on experience with the Rape Aggression Defense (R.A.D.) System, designed exclusively for women. This isn’t just a class – it’s an opportunity to learn life-saving skills, build confidence, and become a more empowered version of yourself.

What to expect

R.A.D. self-defense training offers more than just techniques; it provides a holistic approach to personal safety that can make a life-changing difference. The course is designed to equip you with both mental and physical tools for protecting yourself in real-world situations.

What the program covers

Risk awareness, reduction, and avoidance – Discover critical strategies for identifying, avoiding, and reducing risks in your everyday life, both in and outside the home.
Hands-on tactical training – Learn highly effective self-defense moves designed to quickly incapacitate an attacker by targeting their most vulnerable points. These practical techniques are accessible and actionable, regardless of your previous experience.
Empowerment through preparedness – Feel the mental and emotional empowerment that comes from knowing how to defend yourself. Mastering these skills means taking control of your personal safety and walking with confidence.

Who can participate

This course is open to women of all ages and fitness levels. Whether you’re a college student, working professional, or senior, R.A.D. training meets you where you are. Our supportive, expert instructors will ensure you leave each session feeling more capable and empowered.

R.A.D. self-defense – 3-day mandatory course (January 9 – 11)

Join us for our R.A.D. Self-Defense course, a comprehensive 9-hour program divided into three dynamic, 3-hour sessions. This course is designed to build skills progressively, and full participation in all three sessions is mandatory.

Thursday, January 9 – 5:30 PM – 8:30 PM
Friday, January 10 5:30 PM – 8:30 PM
Saturday, January 11 – 2:30 PM – 5:30 PM

Participants must attend the first two sessions to qualify for the final simulation. Don’t miss this opportunity to build confidence, skills, and empowerment through progressive learning!

Participating in this training will not only give you practical self-defense skills, but also connect you with a community of strong, like-minded women. Expert instruction

The course is taught by dedicated officers from the Norwell Police Department, certified R.A.D. instructors with years of experience. Their mission is to empower you with the same tools and knowledge they trust in their own lives.

Cost and registration

The training is free to all women aged 16 and older. Donations to the Type One Cares Campaign are encouraged and appreciated, supporting vital diabetes awareness and wellness programs. Donate here

What to wear

Dress for ease of movement and comfort. Athletic attire like leggings, shorts, or workout pants paired with sneakers is recommended. Please avoid skirts, dresses, or high-heeled shoes to ensure you can participate fully and safely.
