“I can never thank you enough for giving me a new life and the ability to control my type 1 diabetes. The great information I receive helps better manage my disease, stay on track, and stay positive!”

What exactly is the fitness assessment?

Before we can build a fitness strategy tailored to you, we need to discuss your goals and understand your current condition. We ask about past experiences and injuries, we review your mobility, strength, cardiovascular endurance, joint range-of-motion and biomechanics (how you move).

Do you offer body composition analysis?

Our InBody – body composition analysis is an optional part of our intake process. Go beyond the scale with the InBody test – a non-invasive, quick, and accurate body composition analysis that provides a detailed breakdown of your weight in terms of muscle, fat, and water. Your comprehensive yet easy-to-understand measurements will display on an InBody result sheet in under a minute. No more pinching. No more dunking. Get results you can trust so you can reach your health and fitness goals with precision and actionable objectives. This is simply a way to measure your progress but we also firmly believe in a broader approach to fitness of the body and mind and look at energy levels, self-confidence, emotional fluctuations and more!

What do you mean by holistic approach?

We focus on the full person, not just muscle groups, because we believe fitness isn’t only about looking better — it’s about committing to a healthy body and mind.

What kind of access and relationship will I have with my trainer?

During your initial assessment, a trainer is assigned to you. Your trainer is available to answer any questions you may have, and you are welcome to text or call your trainer at your convenience. For best results, we encourage our trainers and clients to stay in regular communication.

How many times a week should I meet with my personal trainer?

Our team recommends one or two training sessions a week when getting started. However, a higher or lower frequency may be appropriate for your goals.

Is there a strategy or program you have to help me achieve my goals?

When you first arrive at Type One Fitness, your dedicated trainer will provide a personalized assessment. Together we discuss your goals and how best to achieve them.

How do you differ from a corporate gym or health center?

We focus on building custom fitness programs with a highly supportive trainer-client relationship.

Do you offer corporate memberships at Type One Fitness?

Wellness in the workplace is smart business. When your team knows that their health and well-being is a top priority, they show up ready to participate and contribute at higher levels. Let Type One Fitness help your team get in shape, cultivate team spirit and bring active fun to the workday. A minimum of 3 employees is required for corporate membership accounts. For more information on corporate membership options and pricing, please contact us.

How long is a training session?

A training session is typically one hour or 30 minutes.

Will my trainer also help me with my diet?

Our team of highly-trained professionals have spent years studying the science behind fitness, nutrition and weight loss. We know that any diet can be complex, and we can help guide a sustainable weight-loss plan or refer to a professional nutritionist.
