OneFit MoveStrong™ is a Parkinson’s Exercise Program in Norwell, MA, created by Type One Fitness for individuals living with Parkinson’s Disease. This supportive small-group program focuses on building strength, improving balance, enhancing mobility, increasing coordination, and helping participants move with greater confidence.

Research continues to show that consistent, targeted exercise can play an important role in supporting movement, function, and overall well-being for individuals with Parkinson’s.

This program is not about limitations.

It is about ability, progress, independence, and continuing to move forward.

What to Expect

Each OneFit MoveStrong™ session incorporates a variety of Parkinson’s-focused exercise techniques designed to improve movement, strength, confidence, and everyday function.

Participants will experience:

  • Strength & resistance training
  • Balance and coordination exercises
  • Mobility and flexibility training
  • Exaggerated movement patterns
  • Non-contact boxing drills to support coordination, reaction, and movement confidence
  • Functional movement training
  • Cognitive challenges
  • Vocal strengthening exercises

Boxing gloves are optional. Participants are welcome to bring their own gloves, but they are not required. All exercises can be adapted, including shadow boxing variations, so every participant can move safely, comfortably, and confidently.

Every workout is designed to help participants move better, feel stronger, and stay active.

Kate Mortland brings specialized Parkinson’s exercise training and a passion for helping individuals improve strength, movement, and quality of life.

As a certified Parkinson’s exercise coach with a background in exercise science and athletic training, Kate understands the importance of creating programs that are safe, effective, and empowering.

Kate’s approach focuses on helping every participant move with confidence, celebrate progress, and continue doing the activities they love.
