30 / 30 HIIT / CoreFit – HIIT – Join our High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) class to experience a dynamic and results-driven workout that will push your limits and help you achieve your fitness goals. HIIT is a proven method for improving cardiovascular fitness, increasing strength, and burning calories efficiently. This exhilarating class workout will leave you feeling energized, strong, and accomplished. Whether you’re looking to lose weight, build muscle, or boost your overall fitness, HIIT is a fantastic option to help you reach your fitness goals.
CoreFit – This workout is a targeted exercise routine focused on strengthening the muscles of your core, including abdominals, obliques, lower back, and pelvic muscles. Core training exercises often involve movements that engage these muscle groups, such as planks, Russian twists, leg raises, and bridges, to help you build a stable and resilient core. Incorporating these exercises into your fitness routine can contribute to better posture, increased stability, and a reduced likelihood of injury during daily activities or other physical pursuits.
Balance Training Series – This 6 week series works to improve balance, build muscle strength, flexibility and mobility to enhance overall physical health, which leads to better functioning in daily activities. Participation in the program may also result in better mental health, reduced stress, improved memory and cognition, and increased self-esteem. Can’t commit to the 5 weeks? Class drop-ins are welcome and open to all fitness levels!
Barre – Led by an instructor who guides you through a structured routine, Barre class combines elements of ballet, Pilates, and strength training to create a unique and a great full-body challenging workout that can help improve strength, flexibility, posture, and overall body tone. Barre will promote a mind-body connection, as participants focus on proper alignment and engaging specific muscle groups throughout the class. This class is designed to be accessible to people of different fitness levels, as modifications can be provided to accommodate beginners or those with specific physical limitations. The emphasis is on controlled movements, proper form, and engaging the targeted muscles effectively.
Body Sculpt – This total body weight-bearing workout uses various types of resistance to strengthen every muscle group to maintain muscle mass and bone density. Leave class feeling exhilarated.
Bootcamp – Our bootcamp classes are designed for you to have fun, increase your strength and all-round fitness, in a group-based setting. Each class provides a different program that will push you out of your comfort zone with the perfect balance of strength and functional training and cardio bursts. Our goal is to offer encouragement rather than intimidation but be prepared for some high intensity training! In the end, you’ll leave class feeling exhilarated.
Calm Within – A Guide to Mindfulness for Stress Relief – Discover serenity with our Calm Within 6 Week Meditation Series at Type One Fitness. Prioritize your well-being in today’s hectic world. Experience the transformative power of mindfulness for stress relief – from enhanced cognitive function to reduced anxiety. Explore diverse meditation techniques and find your perfect fit. Cardio Kickboxing – This energetic workout is suitable for everyone, whether you’re a beginner or an experienced athlete. It’s a group fitness class that blends martial arts techniques with fast cardio. You’ll enhance stamina, coordination, and flexibility, while also burning calories and building lean muscle. It’s a fun and challenging way to stay fit!
Cardio Dance – Utilizing different types of dance movements to exercise your body and heart, this class helps you achieve your target heart rate and have fun while doing it. Mix up your workout routine with some dancing and fun!
Cycle Endurance Builder – Prepare for your outdoor adventures and upcoming events like the Pan Mass Challenge, Best Buddies, or B2VT by boosting your endurance. Whether you’re a beginner or an advanced athlete, all fitness levels are welcome in our supportive training environment.
This 6 week program focuses on improving your aerobic fitness and gearing your body for longer rides. Instead of tracking miles, we’ll measure your progress in minutes, helping you identify your fitness zones using a heart rate monitor and our Keiser M3i bikes.
The core of the program includes weekly long rides, starting at 90 minutes and gradually progressing to a 4 hour ride, aiming to boost your functional threshold, build muscle power, improve endurance, and facilitate active recovery.
If you’re new to cycling and focused on building endurance, no worries! This class is flexible, allowing you to start with 60 minutes and gradually work up to 2 hours. It’s all about your comfort and progress. Join us and pedal toward success!
Cycle Fusion – Cycle Fusion is a perfect blend of work on and off the bike – an intense combo class where indoor cycling meets strength training. Start with 30 minutes of cycling to get your heart rate up and blood pumping, then move to the floor for 30 minutes of strength training combined with weights and bands. This full body workout will leave you feeling strong and empowered – it’s everything you need in a 60 minute session! All fitness levels welcome.
CoreFit – This workout is a targeted exercise routine focused on strengthening the muscles of your core, including abdominals, obliques, lower back, and pelvic muscles. Cycle – Intervals, rolling hills, sprints, climbs, runs, surges and jumps and many other challenging drills and exercises – all set to hand-picked music to motivate and inspire! This is a great workout if you want to burn calories and increase endurance. Not only is it great for giving you all the cardiovascular gains, but it’s great at toning muscles to make you super strong. All levels are welcome. Remember to bring a towel and water bottle!
Dance Party – Join our Dance Party for a fun, high-energy workout! This class uses various dance movements to exercise your body and heart, helping you achieve your target heart rate while having a great time. Dance to the hottest beats in a session filled with heart-pounding cardio, core exercises, and body-toning moves. Unleash your inner groove and feel strong!
Dynamic Fusion Fitness – Bands, Balls, and Weights Workout – Elevate your fitness journey with our invigorating Dynamic Fusion Fitness class, where a harmonious blend of resistance bands, small Pilates balls, stability balls, and light weights converge to sculpt and strengthen your body. This dynamic workout focuses on enhancing core stability, toning muscles, and improving overall strength. Join us for an energizing and versatile session that promises a well-rounded approach to fitness, leaving you feeling empowered and revitalized, that cater to every fitness level.
Endurance Sweet Spot Training (SST) – This weekly 90 minute class is designed to optimize your aerobic fitness and enhance cycling performance through focused, targeted workouts. This class introduces participants to the “sweet spot” training zone, a specific intensity range that strikes a balance between moderate and high-intensity efforts. Tailored to individual fitness levels, the program incorporates intervals set at 84-97% of Functional Threshold Power (FTP), allowing cyclists to efficiently improve endurance and power output.
Sweet spot training helps you achieve significant physiological adaptations without the need for extremely long rides, making it more time-efficient for those with busy schedules.
It’s important to note that while sweet spot training can be a valuable component of a cycling training plan, it’s essential to incorporate a variety of intensities and recovery periods to ensure a well-rounded and balanced program.
Gentle Restorative Yoga – A gentle restorative yoga class with emphasis on stretches balances and some basic postures. The class will also focus on the use of pranayama breathing techniques to relax and restore the body and mind. Class will end with a guided relaxation in Savasana. Reduce your stress level, be present and enjoy the health benefits of this relaxing, restorative class.
HH FitFoundation – Small Group Training – Our (HealthyHabits) HH FitFoundation Program is a 45-minute low-impact fitness class designed to complement the HH Session. At Type One Fitness, we are dedicated to offering coaching and creating a supportive community to help you achieve your goals. Begin your journey by mastering the basics of movement and proper form to prevent injury. Each class introduces functional movements that gradually increase in difficulty. The program is tailored to accommodate individuals at any fitness or mobility level. If you can’t commit to the full 6 weeks, you can drop in for individual classes.
Holistic Wellness Fusion – Embark on a transformative journey with our “Holistic Wellness Fusion” class, where ancient wisdom meets modern techniques. Explore the power of Tapping, or EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), a stress relief method rooted in Chinese acupressure and contemporary psychology. Discover the significance of the Vagus Nerve, a key to overall health, as it connects your brain to vital organs.
Dive into the world of guided meditation, unraveling the basic steps and effective practices. Intermediate Yoga – This Intermediate Yoga class is designed for individuals who have a foundational understanding of yoga poses and basic techniques but are looking to deepen their practice. In this class, participants can expect a more challenging and dynamic sequence of postures that focus on strength, flexibility, balance, and mindfulness. Intermediate classes often incorporate more advanced poses and transitions, including inversions and backbends. Breath control (pranayama) and meditation may also be integrated to enhance the mind-body connection and promote relaxation. It’s important for students attending intermediate classes to have a good understanding of their own limits and listen to their bodies to prevent injury while pushing themselves to progress in their yoga practice.
Hatha Flow – A gentle class focusing on flowing from pose to pose and linking the movement with the breath. The teacher will offer a variety of modifications to encourage participation of everyone. We do sitting, standing, and inverted postures, and suggest challenging variations for more advanced students, yet fun and non-intimidating options for newer students. You can expect an emphasis on simplicity, repetition, and ease of movement. Full-body relaxation and balance are the goals, as we make a full circuit of the body’s range of motion with standing postures, twists, backbends, forward folds, and hip openers. These classes are designed for mixed-level participants – all levels welcome.
HIIT – This class uses non-choreographed exercises to train athletes and non-athletes to perform better in sport and life. It is a circuit of high-intensity strength and cardio intervals targeting the full-body, with special emphasis on the core. There will be multiple stations utilizing unique types of equipment to keep the energy high and heart pumping!
HIIT Ride – High Intensity Interval Training Ride, filled with excitement and energy! These cardiovascular workouts are an enhanced form of interval training; an exercise strategy alternating periods of short intense anaerobic exercise with less-intense recovery periods. These short and intense bursts provide improved athletic capacity and conditioning, better glucose metabolism, and increased fat burning! Please arrive 10 minutes prior for bike set up.
HIIT Strength – Burn fat and build muscle. High Intensity Interval Training Strength is a full-body workout. This class is a rigorous interval training sequence with high-intensity exercises. It builds cardiovascular fitness while improving muscular strength and endurance. People are challenged to push to their limits and walk out feeling strong.
Interval Training – Experience the effectiveness of interspersing bouts of near-maximum exertion with periods of lower-intensity activity. Interval training is a great way to ramp up your typical cardio workout. Your instructor will have your heart rate up while you work through a variety of different exercises at your own pace. Increase your stamina and burn calories during this fun workout with exercises that can be both high impact and lower impact depending on your level. All fitness levels encouraged.
Meditation – Awaken your creativity and center your for the day/week with a 20-minute semi0-guided meditation. New to meditation? Attend this class and learn how to observe your current state of mind and body through gentle words of guidance. If you meditate frequently, use this time to deepen your practice and take home tips to keep your stress at bay.
Muscle Pump – Is the class to flex those gains. A rapid fat-blasting workout designed to condition and tone muscles using barbell programs, with focus on targeted muscle groups that deliver a total body shred!
Myofascial Release – This class draws on somatic movement and yoga-based stretches to promote greater range of motion and fluidity in the muscles, joints, spine and connective tissues of the body.
Pilates Mat – Pilates Mat classes are designed to improve strength, flexibility, coordination and balance through a series of pushing and pulling exercises that may add resistance for an extra challenge.
PiYo – This athletic workout combines mind/body practices of Yoga and Pilates as well as principles of stretch, strength training, and dynamic movement.
Pound Fit – ROCKOUT. WORKOUT. Channel your inner rockstar with this full body cardio-jam session inspired by the infectious, energizing, and sweat-dripping fun of playing the drums. It is a mood-boosting, stress-releasing cardio interval fitness format that will leave you feeling strong and energized!
Instead of listening to music, you become the music in this exhilarating full-body workout that combines cardio, conditioning, and strength training with yoga and pilates-inspired movements. Using Ripstix®, lightly weighted drumsticks engineered specifically for exercising, POUND FIT transforms drumming into an incredibly effective way of working out. Treadmill classes can enhance your fitness by promoting cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength, and overall physical conditioning. The PowerStride class combines treadmill exercises with strength training, creating a high-energy workout that keeps burning calories even after it’s done. This training induces the after-burn effect (EPOC) (excess post-exercise oxygen consumption), leading to continued calorie burn throughout the day. All fitness levels welcome.
Power Vinyasa Flow – Power Vinyasa Flow Yoga is a powerful, energetic form of yoga where students fluidly move from one pose to the next while connecting their breathing to their movements. This class will guide you through energetic and quick flowing sequences, with a dynamic mix of postures. A typical Power Vinyasa Flow class includes flow elements, core work, standing series and a relaxing wind-down ending with Savasana. It will allow you to release stress, while still building strength and gaining flexibility. Advanced variations as well as inversion options are offered and welcome. All levels welcome, as modifications are always offered!
Qigong – Qigong uses exercises to optimize energy within the body, mind, and spirit, with the goal of improving and maintaining health and well-being. Participants will learn different breathing patterns to activate Qi/Chi-our life force energy. Gentle stretching, warm-ups, standing postures and the “flows” of the Five Elements (metal, water, wood, fire and earth) will circulate the Qi throughout the body. As we synchronize the breath with movements, participants will feel a lessening of muscular tension cultivating both physical and emotional energy, calming the mind and reconnecting with the spirit. All fitness levels welcome.
Rapid30 Cycle – Ride into the fast lane with our Rapid30 Cycle class! Experience the intensity of intervals, rolling hills, sprints, climbs, runs, surges, and jumps, all packed into an invigorating 30-minute session. Fuel your ride with hand-picked music to ignite motivation and inspiration! Burn calories, boost endurance, and sculpt muscles for a powerhouse workout suitable for all fitness levels. Don’t forget your towel and water bottle – it’s time to pedal your way to strength and stamina!
Rapid30 Strength – A rapid fat-blasting workout designed to condition and tone muscles using weights with a focus on targeted muscle groups to deliver a total body transformation, as well as blasting abs and glutes to power up the core. Modifications are always welcomed in our classes, making Rapid30 Strength accessible to participants of all fitness levels.
Ride and Rip – This 60 minute dynamic, fast-paced interval workout, designed to not only burn significantly more calories during, but after your workout as well. This class is sure to rev up your metabolism, promote a healthy heart, and blast fat, while maintaining muscle mass. You’ll spend 30 minutes on the bike, followed by a rigorous interval training sequence with high-intensity exercises in the group exercise studio.
Rhythm Ride – Rhythm Ride is a high-energy, heart-pumping, calorie-scorching cycle workout that’s driven by the beat of the music with upper body movements that feel like a dance party on the bike while giving you a full-body workout. This class is an enhanced fitness experience that brings together creative music playlists to motivate riders through a journey of the mind, body, and soul. A short cool down and stretch will end every session. All fitness levels welcome.
Slow Flow Yoga – A flow-style yoga class that moves slowly through a series of fluid postures, flowing continuously through sequences of sun salutations and standing/seated postures, forward and backbends, twists, inversions and restorative postures. Different asanas have different effects on the body, mind and spirit and you will experience each, forming an holistic practice. Emphasis on linking breath to movement, while relieving tension in the body, holding stretches and moving mindfully. A good fit for those who are new to yoga, looking to de-stress or wanting to take a Flow class at a calmer pace. All levels are invited to attend.
Stability and Balance – This class is designed to help participants become stronger and improve balance. The movements taught in class focus on improving strength and power around the core & joints while improving reaction time. This class is designed for nearly every fitness level.
Sculpt Cycle – Sculpt Cycle is a 60-minute high-energy, motivating ride that incorporates incredible music, interval training and rhythm riding to the beat of the music including an extensive upper-body and core series. We place a focus on toning and building strength endurance and you’ll leave class feeling stronger and empowered with a boost of endorphins.
Stability Ball Training – Stability Ball Training is a total body workout designed to help improve your core strength, posture, balance, and flexibility. The core muscles are one of the most important places we can strengthen and stabilize to promote functional movement for exercising as well as daily life. This class is great for all levels of fitness, from beginners who need to strengthen and work on activating core muscles to athletes who need stability work.
Step – This class will give your heart, body, and mind a workout with easy-to-follow low or high impact choreography that keeps you interested and challenged. Both novice and experienced steppers are encouraged to attend. Proper form and stepping technique is a priority for safe and effective practice in this class. For an added bonus, abdominal, low back, and flexibility training is also incorporated.
Step Circuit – Creating muscle definition requires a combination of cardiovascular and strength training. This hybrid class achieves the best of both worlds through a non-stop alternating circuit of cardio intervals utilizing an adjustable step and challenging strength training.
Stretch – Stretch all major muscle groups to improve overall flexibility and enhance your range of motion.
Stretch and Flow – This flow-style class will lead you through a balanced series of asanas (postures) to strengthen and build flexibility, promote physical stamina and a deep sense of inner calm. A wonderful class for the beginner or more advanced yogi seeking more detailed instruction of the basics. Accessible, detailed and fun flow practices. Awareness on alignment and linking breath with movement, flowing through poses and creating space in the areas where your body needs it most. This class will focus on strength, balance and flexibility while improving coordination, focus, clarity and a sense of gratitude.
Strong Functional Flow Yoga – This practice is a fluid mix of strength, stretch with a focus on increasing and/or maintaining joint mobility. Although full of traditional yoga teachings, this class also blends movement patterns from various fitness modalities that Kim O’Brien has found beneficial to her life long quest for fitness, health and overall wellbeing. With humor, eclectic music and a smile, come flow and let go. Modifications are always offered but ultimately you are in charge of where you take your body. This class is geared toward the individual with some yoga and/or fitness experience.
Sunrise Yoga – Begin your day with a centering and awakening yoga class designed to stretch your body and enrich your spirit. Stimulate your creativity through a beginning meditation and warm up with gentle flow postures guaranteed to set you up for a successful day.
Tabata – A High-Intensity Interval Training (H.I.I.T) class that uses shorter rest periods between body weight, resistance, and cardio exercises designed to maximize your anaerobic and aerobic thresholds, helping you to build muscle and increase endurance all in one class! Tabata interval training is one of the most effective types of high intensity interval training. Through a variety of simple, yet intense exercises, each class will blast the calories and provide noticeable results in a short amount of time. Whether your goal is muscle tone, weight loss, or both, this class will provide what you are looking for.
Tai Chi – This Tai Chi practice involves slow-motion flow — and with that comes a cadre of health benefits, too, including better balance, mobility, and coordination. Tai Chi (also called Tai Chi Chuan or Tai Ji Quan) is a mind-body exercise that combines movements, meditation, and deep breathing. This practice is open to all levels and abilities.
Teambeats™ – A heart rate training platform that combines workout variety, time efficiency, music and fun in a single workout that is unlike any other trainer-led group fitness experience. Improve fitness, lose weight and maximize performance in a heartbeat.
TRX – TRX is a form of suspension training that uses body weight exercises to develop strength, balance, flexibility and core stability simultaneously. It requires the use of the TRX Suspension Trainer, a performance training tool that leverages gravity and the user’s body weight to complete the exercises. Our classes will move you. Our instructors will inspire you. Modifications are always welcomed in any class.
TRX Bootcamp – Unleash your full-body potential in our TRX Bootcamp class! Whether you’re a fitness enthusiast or a newcomer looking for an exciting challenge, our class is designed to accommodate all levels. Find the modification that suits your fitness goals and embark on a journey to a stronger, more resilient you. Get ready to move, be inspired, and transform your fitness experience with TRX Bootcamp! Modifications are always welcomed in our classes, making TRX Bootcamp accessible to participants of all fitness levels.
Turbo Kick – An energizing kickboxing interval class. Cardio that uses intensity drills and increased energy sprints followed by work recovery segments.
Vinyasa Yoga – Vinyasa yoga is a creative form of yoga where poses are linked together with the breath in a flowing sequence. The beauty of Vinyasa yoga is the variety. There is no standard sequence in Vinyasa yoga, so the style, pace and intensity will all vary depending on the teacher. Classes may be sequenced around a peak pose such as a backbend, or they might focus on a particular theme such as the chakras or an aspect of yoga philosophy. The class may be dynamic and focus on strengthening postures, or it may be a slower flow with an emphasis on mobility and flexibility in the spine or the hips.
Yogalates – Yogalates is a beautiful combination of the gentle stretch of yoga with its asanas and mindfulness and the core-building strength and posture awareness of Pilates. Yogalates concentrates strength in the middle (abdominal area, buttocks and lower back), the body develops harmoniously, stretching muscles, toning the body, improving posture and developing coordination, stimulating blood circulation. Suitable for all levels, age groups, even if you are new to yoga. No previous yoga experience is necessary!
Yoga Fitness with Chair Assist – Yoga Fitness with Chair Assist is a WHOLE-BODY practice with the intent to move and stimulate the body, mind and soul from head to toe. A blend of traditional YOGA postures and practices (asana, pranayama, mudra, reflection & meditation) are COMBINED with FITNESS based practices to improve full-body strength, length and joint mobility. This class incorporates seated & standing movement. With the option to use a chair as an “ASSIST, participants are able to maintain balance and gain strength while performing standing postures. Although modifications and stronger variations are offered throughout the class to appeal to multiple levels of practitioners, YOU are ultimately in control of how you choose to move your body. The movement is intended to stimulate, not aggravate – so always HONOR your body and RESPECT your limitations.
Yoga Fitness with Chair Assist is tailored to active older adults’ needs to improve their functional performance and quality of life, as well as increase social participation.
Yoga Strength – Incorporates small hand weights, Barre-inspired movements, cardio, and bodyweight strength work in a yoga flow to amp things up and break a sweat! Work all the major muscle groups for a full-body workout with plenty of time to stretch it out and settle into a sweet Savasana. Small hand weights ranging from 1 – 8 lbs are provided. Modified movements will also be provided.
Yoga Stretch and Strength – This class starts with a warm up and transitions into a series of body-weight based strength exercises. Modifications and progressions are always offered, so you can start where you are and continue to build from there. The last quarter of the class cools down with stretching.
Zumba® – It’s an interval workout. It’s an exhilarating, easy-to-follow, international dance inspired, calorie-burning fitness-party™ that will leave you wanting more! The classes move between high and low intensity dance moves designed to get your heart rate up and boost cardio endurance. A total workout, combining all elements of fitness – cardio, muscle conditioning, balance and flexibility, boosted energy and a serious dose of awesome each time you leave class.
Zumba® Gold – Designed for active older adults with a much lower intensity. Based on the same Latin-inspired dance moves to shimmy and shake your workout up. It’s never too late to join the party! relaxed, non-competitive atmosphere. The exercises are safe for all ages, but please let your instructor know if you have any physical limitations.

We’ve got a range of group exercise classes to suit everyone. Whether you’re looking to lose weight, get toned up, improve your fitness levels, get more flexible, or just get back into getting active after a long layoff, we’ve got the right class for you. You can start today!
2. How much does it cost?
A membership at the Type One Fitness includes access to all our group exercise classes. Our experienced instructors will take you through a group workout and modify exercises to meet your needs and maximize results.
3. What other help is available?
Our instructors will make sure you are doing the movements correctly so you minimize the chance of injury as you learn new exercises in a fun, challenging and motivating group environment.
